With just under 1000 inhabitants Ossiach is the smallest community in the Ossiacher See region. Stift Ossiach and the baroque church are not only prominent landmarks, but also host the CMA Carinthian Music Academy and the famous "Carinthischer Sommer" music festival.

Over the past few years the CMA Stift Ossiach has proved to offer the perfect venue and infrastructure for numerous cultural and music events, including "Brass Herbst" and "Begegnungen im Advent".
